New this year the Tri-State Zoo will be closed through March for regular admission. The Zoo will re-open on April 1st with normal hours. Directions to the Zoo
We are located just past Devlin Manor Nursing Home off of Christie Road and directly across from Three Ponds.
From East (Hagerstown/Frederick):
Take I-68 West to Exit 46 (Naves Crossroads), turn right onto Naves Crossroads; Take 1st right onto Christie Rd. go underneath the overpass. Stay left at the split, we are about 1/2 mile on left hand side. There is a small, stone wall in front. Turn up driveway.
From West (Frostburg/Morgantown, WV):
Take I-68 East; Take Exit 46, turn right off of exit onto Ali Ghan Rd. Take 1st left onto Christie Rd.; Stay left at the split, we are about 1/2 mile on left hand side. There is a small, stone wall in front, turn up driveway!
From North (Bedford, PA):
Take 220 South, stay on when you see the Cumberland Exit. 220 intersects with Ali Ghan Rd., make a right onto Ali Ghan Rd. At the next intersection make a left onto Christie Rd. Stay left at the split, we are about 1/2 mile on left hand side. There is a small stone wall in front, turn up driveway!
From South (Fort Ashby, WV):
Take Rt. 28 North towards Cumberland; Rt. 28 intersects with Rt. 51 (Industrial Blvd.) - get into the farthest left lane immediately! (Wendy’s should be on your right). Just past the light, make a right onto 68 East; Take Exit 46, turn right off of exit onto Ali Ghan Rd. Take 1st left onto Christie Rd.; Stay left at the split, we are about 1/2 mile on left hand side. There is a small, stone wall in front, turn up driveway!
Alternate Directions:
If you do not like the highway and you know your way around Cumberland, you can also take Rt. 51 (Industrial Blvd.) towards Oldtown - make a left onto Messick Rd. (It is way before Mexico Farms, if you got that far, turn around!). At the end of Messick, you can either go left or right -If you go right onto Williams: make a left at Christie Rd., Twigg’s junk yard is at this corner. Follow until you see a short stone wall, the zoo driveway is just BEFORE it. If you make a left onto Williams: make your 1st right onto Willowbrook Rd, pass Allegany College. Make next right onto Country Club Rd. Follow that, pass the Country Club, pass the Jehovah’s Witness building and you will come around a sharp left curve. Make the next right (it is like a u-turn) onto Christie Rd. Turn left into driveway just past short stone wall!
